Dr Mandy Truong

Dr Mandy Truong is a highly experienced public health and social policy researcher focussed on producing policy-relevant research that improves outcomes for children, families and communities across Australia. She is passionate about improving social and health equity for refugee and migrant communities, and other underserved and marginalised groups.  Mandy’s values and purpose strongly align with those of the Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health. Her work is underpinned by anti-racist, human rights, feminist, equity and intersectional frameworks.

Mandy has extensive research, project management, leadership and collaborative stakeholder engagement experience. She has a strong interdisciplinary research track record on topics including anti-racism/racism, cultural responsiveness in healthcare and domestic and family violence. Mandy has a Masters degree and PhD in Public Health as well as over 17 years of experience as a health professional.

Mandy is committed to supporting MCWH and its critical role in education, advocacy and leadership to advance the health and wellbeing of refugee and migrant women across Australia.
