
Chief Executive Officer
Adele is the Chief Executive Officer of Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health, a national women’s health centre run by and for migrant and refugee women and gender diverse people. She is from an Italian migrant background, is a proud member of the queer community, and is a passionate advocate for health equity and justice. Adele has a PhD in History and Women’s Studies and extensive specialist expertise in taking an intersectional feminist approach to gender equity, health and violence against women in multicultural communities.
Adele provides evidence-based advice to government and other key stakeholders, and is a member of numerous national, state and ministerial committees, including, currently, the Victorian Women’s Health Advisory Council, the National Women’s Health Advisory Council, the National Multicultural Health Advisory Committee. Adele’s research, advocacy and policy output, and leadership of MCWH for more than two decades, has made a significant contribution to improving migrant and refugee women’s health outcomes in Australia.
