MCWH Multilingual Library

Welcome to the library

The MCWH Library is located at our MCWH office in Collingwood, Melbourne/Naarm.

It is specialist library of women’s health resources made for migrant and refugee communities in languages other than English or easy to read English.

Our library is a welcoming place where women can connect and build life long knowledge and skills for their health and wellbeing.

Currently MCWH staff are working in a hybrid model, which means our library is open by appointment only, during business hours Monday to Friday. For more information please contact carmela@mcwh.com.au.

About the collection

This library collection has been built by women from migrant and refugee backgrounds for over 30 years on topics such as:

  • women’s health and wellbeing
  • migrant and refugee women’s experiences
  • health information relevant to living in Australia

Using the Library

The multilingual library is a free service for all people and services to use, as well as MCWH staff.

You can browse and borrow books, reports, DVDs and other resources we use to support our advocacy, education, training and knowledge sharing with women from migrant and refugee backgrounds.

You can also browse our online catalogue of multilingual resources from your home computer or phone if you prefer to use our online digital library.
