Alexandra Rijavec was born in Australia and has Slovenian heritage as her father and his family emigrated following WWII. She graduated with an Honours Degree in Anthropology and Linguistics and has previous experience across the land management, education, and social services sectors. Alex worked as an Anthropologist at the Northern Land Council conducting remote area fieldwork across the Northern Territory and regional Western Australia, and research for Native Title and Land Rights Claims. Previously, she has also worked as a Youth Worker and Teacher. Currently, she works as National Health Education Coordinator at MCWH primarily engaging with stakeholders and conducting evaluation for bi-lingual health education projects. Alex is a competent Spanish speaker after living in Madrid for one-year and enjoys creating music in her free time.
