Intersectionality training participant
Great training. I hope this is available to many people, and is regularly offered.

I left with a greater understanding of the complex forms of violence and the need for prevention strategies that reflect that complexity
I feel as though my own definition and way of describing intersectionality was very generalised and I have a much deeper understanding of it now.
Previously I only understood intersectionality as a theoretical framework to consider issues, considering my privilege etc. Now I have a better understanding of how to practice intersectionality in my work.
It has been an amazing journey. I met new friends, discovered a lot about myself, and about Australian politics and health. It's a brilliant course, and really informative for women. Excellent...to bring together everyone onto the same platform.
I was very nervous when I joined this course because I was too shy to say anything. But now I learnt to just say it, just to shake it out. Now I can speak in front of all of you. I feel good!
As a result of the PACE training things are happening and I'm grateful, thankful and very hopeful for more great things and opportunities to come.
"This has been a fantastic program that has put fire back in my life and I don’t want to lose this motivation to continue doing things for myself. It’s about time I did that."
I now understand cultural awareness as a process rather than a ‘competency mentality’ and an understanding that it is a collaborative approach rather than knowing all the right things.
