WRAP 87

Dear WRAP-pers,

Happy International Day of Action for Women’s Health!

Today we are reminded to keep women's sexual and reproductive health a priority on the COVID-19 response agenda. Although COVID-19 restrictions are slowly easing, migrant and refugee women's barriers in accessing health services and support still remain. To advocate on this issue, we have put together a letter template you can use to raise awareness on migrant women's health needs to your local MP.

In light of the tragic death of Kamaljeet Sidhu, we also write about violence against women on temporary visas, and the role of settlement and multicultural services in supporting affected migrant women. It is timely that we have just released new research and a webinar on 10 June 2020 on how these services can play a crucial role addressing violence against women.

Finally and as always, we end this month's issue with a 60 seconds interview with Hala Nasr, our newest MCWH staff member who envisages a braver, more just world. You'll love this one.

Until next time,
The WRAP Team
