This module presents the current evidence base for preventing violence against women in immigrant and refugee communities, drawing on the most up-to-date national and international research findings, including ANROWS funded ASPIRE research undertaken in partnership with MCWH.
Module Aims
To explore and discuss the current evidence base relating to violence against women in immigrant and refugee communities.
Module Objectives / Outcomes
- Participants can examine research methodology, evidence and data from an intersectional perspective;
- Participants can describe and draw upon the key findings from ASPIRE for the context of their program or project;
- Participants can describe the importance of developing a solid, intersectional evidence base for prevention.
