Training Officer
Shamini has been working in the family violence sector since 2017 in crisis response, intervention and primary prevention work. Their most recent projects have been specifically focussed on LGBTIQ family violence and LGBTIQ inclusive practice in family violence services. Shamini is also the founder of the Queer Family Violence Sector Network, a professional network focussed on improving sector responses to LGBTIQ family violence. They have delivered training in family violence early intervention, LGBTIQ inclusive practice and Rainbow Tick accreditation. In their current role as Training Officer at MCWH, Shamini delivers a range of training offerings such as the Intersectionality series and PACE Women’s Leadership Program. Shamini speaks English and basic Tamil.
