MCWH is an incorporated association and a registered charity. That means that any profit we make are put back into our work for migrant and refugee women’s health.
MCWH is governed and guided by a remarkable board of women from diverse backgrounds, who share a strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of migrant and refugee women.
Since 1978, the core our our work has been health education, delivered by women skilled in sharing health information with other migrant and refugee women in their first language.
In addition to supporting our health education programs, our staff promotes migrant women’s health through partnerships, advocacy, research, training and capacity building.
Our small but talented staff provides support and training, develops health information resources and undertakes research and advocacy on issues affecting immigrant and refugee women's health and wellbeing.
Adele guides MCWH in its commitment to increasing migrant and refugee women’s health advocacy, research and rights in Australia.
Joyce ensures the successful delivery of MCWH health education programs and projects.
Regina oversees MCWH training, communication and the multilingual library.
Amira manages our Health Education Program and bilingual health education team.
Carmela maintains and updates MCWH’s multilingual library of women’s health information in over 70 languages.
Medina champions women’s sexual and reproductive health rights through the FARREP Program.
Mi leads the Getting Equal project to strengthen women’s leadership and promote gender equality for all women.
Rosi provides expertise, mentoring and support to the training and PVAW Teams.
Yue coordinates the Hand in Hand project for carers and people with life limiting illnesses.
Jasmin coordinates online and external communications across the organisation.
Ozana is the heartbeat of MCWH. She manages payroll, IT, stationary and office maintenance.
Hoa Pham coordinates and supports several Health Promotion Projects.
Monisha is working on two research projects relating to family violence prevention and support.
