Wafa’s first language is Arabic, and she has worked as a health educator at Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health for over thirty years. Having worked in factories when she arrived in Australia, Wafa understands the challenges migrant women face in getting the information and support they need to look after their family and, more importantly, their own health. Wafa strongly believes that knowledge is power, and after thirty years, she continues to empower hundreds of women each year with the information and the skills to improve their health and the health of their families.
