Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health: an Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Organisation Created by Immigrant and Refugee Women.
MCWH’s vision is better health and wellbeing for immigrant and refugee women. We understand the issues immigrant
and refugee women face when taking control of their health and wellbeing because we are immigrant and refugee women.
We believe women sharing health information and experiences is the best way to wellbeing—it’s what we call the woman-to-woman
approach and is the basis of our health promotion activities.
This interconnectedness also recognises the peer experience, knowledge, skills and talents it takes to make
MCWH Australia’s leading immigrant and refugee women’s health organisation. Our commitment to immigrant and
refugee women is guided by our Board, supported by our
staff team, and our
bilingual Health Educators provide
immigrant and refugee women both group and individual access to our unique model of health promotion and education.
MCWH Board
The MCWH Board brings to the organisation considerable talent, skill, experience and expertise, all harnessed to further
our commitment to immigrant and refugee women’s health and wellbeing.
The Board's Strategic Plan provides MCWH with a blue print to move both the organisation and its vision forward and will soon be available on our website.
