Wafa Ibrahim

Bilingual Health Educator
Language(s): Arabic

Hi, my name is Wafa Ibrahim I was born in Lebanon, I came to Australia 35 years ago, married with 2 children and a granddaughter. I have completed many intensive short courses as well being involved in community development.

I’m one of the Arabic-speaking Bilingual Health Educators at Multicultural Centre for Woman’s Health. I’ve been working with the organisation for over 20 years delivering health information mainly to Arabic-speaking women in different settings such as workspaces and community settings. I very much enjoy delivering important information that changes many women’s lives and those of their family. I have also learnt many valuable skills from these experiences.

MCWH trains Bilingual Health Educators (BHEs) to deliver accurate health information in a relaxed and casual, rather than a ceremonious and stiff setting. This environment allows women to feel comfortable during our health education sessions to share experiences and to feel free to ask as many questions as they wish.
