MCWH is Australia's leading organisation committed to the health and wellbeing of immigrant and refugee women. My role includes health education provision and removing linguistic and other barriers women experience in accessing services. My aim is to make their access quick and efficient and add a full understanding of related processes.

I came to Australia as a refugee. This experience has made me acutely aware of the ongoing challenges and difficulties immigrant and refugee women have to deal with in the first few years of arriving and settling into a foreign country. Given my own journey, I endeavour to assist others encountering similar difficulties, adjusting to a new social setting and community. Working for MCWH has increased my capacity to assist immigrant and refugee women with these issues, and also provide them with a unique opportunity regarding health education and information. That is education and information by immigrant and refugee women for immigrant and refugee women.
