I have been working at MCWH for ten years as a Vietnamese Bilingual Health Educator.

My focus is providing Vietnamese women with health education sessions addressing their health issues including those relating to general women's health, reproductive and sexual health, occupational health and safety, mental health and wellbeing, and the safe use of medicines. I also provide women with information about MCWH and our programs.

We take our sessions to the women this includes their workplaces over a lunch break, at community centres, at TAFE where they are improving their English language skills, in prison, and in their homes. Tailoring sessions to women includes sharing information on issues they have identified and providing sessions in places most convenient to them.

I love this job because it empowers me as well as other women, and what we learn and exchange assists us to control our own health and wellbeing.
