I started working with the MCWH in 2000 as Bilingual Health Educator. My main role is to provide health information sessions to Greek women in their workplace and community settings, in their own language and in a culturally appropriate manner.

My experience as a refugee and migrant from Cyprus following the Turkish invasion in 1974, has enhanced my understanding of the needs of immigrant women, and has made me passionate about empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing and thus take control of their both health and life.

I have previously worked in many capacities including as a ethnic health worker, community support worker, recreational worker, project interviewer, and as a social worker. The main focus of my social and welfare work has been on client advice, education, and advocacy with individuals and families from a Greek background.

I also work as bilingual health educator with the QUIT Victoria and Reconnexion. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts both from La Trobe University.
